Hell On Wheels

This recent series takes place in the days when railroads were being created for people to be able to travel by way of locomotion. You get several different view points including that of a freed slave turned railroad worker played by rapper and actor; Common. The reasone this series works is because of the cast containing both heavyweights and new names. All of the people that make up the cast and crew do a superb job making sure that the show has an authentic feel to it. I would recommend this program to anyone and would rate it a 7/10.

Detroit Institute Of Art

I always get promotions in the mail from this institute and I have been plannng go to this museum for a while. They have some really unique stuff here from what I can tell from the flyers. I strongly recommend a visit. It would be a great place to take your girlfriend or a great group outing. I am an artist so I tend to look for places such as this that offer a wide variety of art displays. It is very important to be connected to the art of the past and mak sure that it is remembered and valued. I have rarely seen a professional piece of artwork that I do not find likeable or intriguing. Basically what I'm saying is get off your butt and go visit the DIA.

Amber Rose

I'm not quite sure what to think of this girl. I know she was dating Kanye West at one ppint and is now rumored to be engaged to Wiz Kalifa. I know that she has a guest spot on a BET dj scout show and a commercial where she plugs different flavored vodka drinks. I've heard rumors that she used to be a stripper. To summarize, I'm not quite sure how I feel about ths girl. She doesn't seem to have any discernable abilities, skills or talenta but is always in the media. I remember a Kanye West line from the song entitled Stronger in which he refers to her as a "blonde dyke" so apparently she may have some lesbian tendencies. I'm not saying anything bad aboht that and if anything its a plus. I'm not really feeling the bald head but to each his own. Lets see what she will do in 2012 to grab the headlines.

Reality Television: Good Or Bad For Society

In my opinion, most of the shows that are being churned out by the entertainment networks are having a detrimental affect on the youth of America and other countries. From shows like Teen Mom, that give young mothers incentives and rewards for their bad judgment, to shows like Jersey Shore which glorify stupidity and alcoholism with an unabashedness that is quite alarming.
Other shows like the Real Houswives franchise encourage otherwise unnoteworthy, to bicker and fight to their hearts content. This gives a bad representation and reputation to certain groups and cements into people's minds certain harmful stereotypes.
On the plus side, there are some reality shows aimed at uplifting its viewers. Some that I would recommend are those aimed at finding great artists and TI's new family oriented series TI and Tiny: A Family Hustle. It might be hard to wade through the filth and grime that is reality television, but you may be rewarded for your troubles with a true diamond in the rough.

New Season Of Tosh.0 Starting In Days

If you haven't been living under a rock for the last 2 years, you havd probably heard of the very popular comedian Daniel Tosh. From his tours and specials including Happy Thoughts, to his comedy show Tosh.0, this comedian has seemed to find his niche. The best description that I could give of Daniel's style is insult comedy mixed with observational humor. He has become very popular through the use of social networking sites like twitter and facebook and video sites like hulu, YouTube, and other such sites. I would definitely rate the show a 9/10 for hilariousness. I am very excited for the new season.

When Will Dr Dre Release Detox?

So if you are a fan of Dr Dre like I am, you know that the Detox album was supposed to have been released 10 years ago. I am really hoping that Dre will take a second from promoting his headphones and other such items and get back in the studio.
Tracks that were supposedly off of the album were leaked causing Dre to feel the need to put a stop to the production and completion of his album.
I am rooting for Dr. Dre to complete his album. Stranger things have happened.

Kevin Hart: Laugh At My Pain

This hour long stand up comedy special was recently made available to the public and is sure to be filled with an array of behind the scenes footage.
The keys to Kevin Hart's success are two things; his ability to remain humble even during his recent triumphs and also his work ethic. The movie begins with him in a huddle with his team chanting " everybody wanna be famous, don't nobody wanna do the work."
This was an impressively hilarious special from this rising star. He talked about several deeply personal topics including dealing with his mothers passing and humorous situations involving his father. After watching the special its hard not to say "you gon learn today".

Kid Ink: Wheels Up

Has anyone heard of this artist? He is on the rise right now. He has an album out now called 'Wheels Up' and after listening to the entire album I must say that I am definitely becoming more and more of a fan. He has a sound that reminds me of several artists including Kid Cudi, Wiz Kalifa and Lil Wayne. Artists including Tyga and other similar emcees made guest appearances on this very high energy album. Some memorable tracks include 'No Sticks No Seeds' and 'Stop'. I hope to see more hjts and buzz for this talented artist in the near future.

Jay Z Dedicates Song To His New Daughter

Jay Z has done it onceh again. Just when the world thinks he might be down for the count, he hets his beautiful wife pregnant and has the audacity to create an entire song about Blue Ivy Carter. The name of the song was Glory and it even samples his newborn childs voice.
Beyonce and Jay Z apparently paid upwards of 1 million dollars to have the entire floor of tue hospital theor daughter was delivered in cleared so that Blue Ivy could be born exactly how they pictured it. Do you think that Jay Z making a song about his newborn child is exploitative? Leave a comment.

Eminem Takes On Yelawolf

In the past 5 years we have seen many attempts to create a rap persona that closely resembles that of Mr Marshall Mathers aka Slim Shady aka Eminem. From the ill-conceived Asher Roth character with his feeble ode to college life, to other lesser known acts that have faded into obscurity, it is apparent that Marshall’s shoes will be extremely hard to fill. Enter Yelawolf, aka Michael Atha. This hip hopn artist mad a name for himself with his lyrical ability being featured on Big Boi’s latest album. He was born in Alabama and combines Eminem’s lyrical mastery with his own touch of southern swag. Recently he was signed to a division of the Shady Records company. This is exciting because we all can see that Slim is schooling this newcomer on the wayss of maintaining a successful career. I cannot wait to see what collaboration arise from the two joining forces

The Walking Dead Season 3 Anticipation

If you are a horror buff like I am, you probably have watched at least a few episodes of this addicting series. It revolves around a group of post-apocalyptic survivors who have to fend for themselves in a post-apocolyptic wasteland filled with "walkers".
Each hour long episode takes you on a journey filled with horrific images of violence and gore. These characters ate very relatable and you will find yourself rooting for the success of the groups.
With the new season days away from airing, a lot of people are wondering what the series writers and producers have in store. We at ratemusicart.blogspot.com will be all over it so be sure to check back in.

What Super Hero Movie Will Be Next?

With the string of Marvel and DC super hero movies that directors revive and either brilliantly portray, ( as with the movie 'Watchmen') or wether it turns out to be a less than thrilling adaptation, ( as with the ill concieved 'Dare Devil') Hollywood is known for churning out these money making blockbusters at an alarming rate.
My vote for the next big super hero movie would have to be an adaptation of either Bishop or Cable. These two lesser known figures in the Marvel universe embody the epitome of bad ass-ism. They are both loner types with unique energy power abilities. With the right casting, I believe that 2012 could be a big year for ether of these characters.
I have heard a few rumors which I wish to share with you. The first one is that 'Watchmen 2' is in the works. Another one is that there is an Avengers movie and a Justice League movie in the works. Another one is that a new Spiderman movie is being put together. Wether this is all just speculation or the truth, I am not sure.
